God is taking care of us...

God is truly watching over us and taking care of our every need. He showed this to us recently in a very real way that we would like to share with you. About a month ago, our van's check engine and maintenance required lights came on. We were pretty discouraged because as everyone knows, car maintenance and repair is expensive! So we reluctantly made a van appointment with a local Honda dealer to see what the problem was. About an hour after we dropped off the van, the technician gave us a call. He said, "Well I have some good news and I have some bad news. The bad news is that your van is going to need a new transmission. It will be an all day job costing around $4000." Who has that much money laying around for car repairs! Then he said, "And the good news is, we found that your vehicle has an extended warranty on it that expires in three months. Thankfully we found this problem now so we can replace your transmission for absolutely free." Thank you Jesus. There were a few other issues with the van, which we did have to pay for, but I'd rather pay hundreds of dollars than thousands of dollars anyday. The really strange part about this story is this. Last summer, our van needed some repairs, and we had the Honda dealer look to see if there was a warranty on it. He said there was none. So either he ran the wrong numbers, or we have Someone taking care of our every need, or both! We might never know what happened, but what we do know is that we have an amazing Heavenly Father who loves us so much and would do anything for us. He is someone to be trusted. "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
